A Culture of Care
From classrooms to boardrooms, a culture of care began to take root. Schools introduced social-emotional learning, while corporations reimagined wellness programs. Acts of compassion became institutional goals. In this climate, kindness wasn’t just encouraged—it was expected, practiced, and celebrated across all aspects of life.

Kindness in 2021 served as a bridge—between communities, within families, and across social divides. It brought people together who had grown distant, helped resolve conflicts, and shaped how institutions approached care and inclusion.

The stories we celebrated were no longer about fame—they were about people helping people, day in and day out. Teachers who adapted for every child, employers who checked in beyond deadlines, and strangers who saw a need and filled it without hesitation. This was kindness—not flashy, but foundational.
